Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Key Thought
Joy and peace are all vital in our lives, especially in a world that is has so much hurt and despair.
Two things we must remember for these blessings to be a part of our lives. First, we must trust God to meet our needs and get us to where we need to be. Second, we expect the power of the Holy Spirit to bless us and empower us with God’s qualities. If we do these things our hope, which sustains us, will overflow.
Prayer
Father God, bless me with greater trust that you are nearby and long to help. Fill me with your Spirit so I may live my life here more like Jesus lived his life here on earth. Amen.
